West Suburban Teen Clinic's vision is that all
youth are educated and empowered to make
responsible decisions regarding their health and
relationships. In order to achieve our vision,
West Suburban Teen Clinic provides youth with
health care and information services that are
confidential, comprehensive and non-judgmental.
Outreach education and support is provided for
young people, adults and professionals in
schools, faith organizations and community
groups. WSTC began in 1971 when several local
churches drew together a task force of community
members and professionals to address the growing
concerns about increased teen pregnancy and
sexually transmitted infection rates. Over the
years, West Suburban Teen Clinic's services have
expanded beyond the medical clinic to include
prevention and intervention services to meet the
emotional and educational needs of local young
people and their families.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as Executive Director and provides
program, financial, operational, and
administrative management for the agency.
• Provide leadership that fosters a mission
focused, holistic, team oriented approach to the
achievement of the agency’s goals, objectives and
strategic plans.
• Ensure staff operates in a manner that is safe,
respectful and in accordance with all relevant
professional, legal and ethical standards of care.
• Work with and report to a highly committed
Board of Directors, and serve on appropriate
committees. Receive professional medical
consultation from the Medical Director.
• Assure financial stability of the organization:
grant and report writing for government, public,
and private funders. Prepare and manage the
annual budget, and work with the Board, staff
and/or professional consultants to help ensure
that the agency operates in a legal and fiscally
responsible manner.
• Use and interpret a variety of data on clinic
operations, community trends, best practices,
etc. to plan for growth and continuous
improvement in meeting the needs of our clients.
• Oversee the operations of each of the
organization’s departments: clinic services,
outreach/education, mental health program, and
home visiting nurse program.
• Build and maintain relationships with
community, professional and organizational
leaders, vendors and other key stakeholders to
ensure that the current and future needs of the
agency are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree with management experience.
Preference for experience in human services,
health care/public health, public administration,
social science or a related field.
• Knowledge of non-profit operations; 501C-3
regulations.
• Strategic planner/visionary. Experience
expanding business.
• History of successful grant writing and
fundraising experience. Ability to plan for and
work with changing financial/funding climates,
experience with budget deficits.
• Knowledge of the health care industry with a
focus on reproductive, adolescent and ambulatory
health care very beneficial.
• Ability to communicate, motivate, and organize
staff, board members, volunteers and community
supporters.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as dictated
by the needs of the organization.
• Ability to represent West Suburban Teen Clinic
with effective public speaking, building business
and community relationships.
• Is creative and respectful when sharing the
mission and vision of WSTC which provides
confidential reproductive health care to minors
under the Minnesota Minors Consent Law.
